Dr. Gerald Brown
Dr. Gerald Brown earned his doctorate in Power Electronics in 1989 from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. After working in Germany for four years on transportation drive systems he transferred to Atlanta where he led a team that developed a very successful AC drive system for the world’s largest mining trucks. A member of IEEE and APS, Dr. Brown has written and presented numerous papers and journal articles on mining applications of AC drives and holds two patents in that area. In 2004 he joined the faculty at Cedarville University, Ohio, USA, as Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, where he teaches courses on circuits, electromagnetics and electrical machines.
